1. Natural red hair is harder to dye than other colors

Most people with natural red hair have brown eyes, with some individuals having brown and green undertones.

But like red hair, blue eyes are a recessive trait, meaning that both parents need to carry the gene that will be inherited by the child. This makes the “red hair + blue eyes” combination the rarest in the world, reaching only 1% of redheads.

5. Redheads are more sensitive to “heat pain”

Numerous studies have already looked into the genetics of redheads to find something that proves that they are more or less sensitive to pain.

Research shows that Redheads are more sensitive to pain caused by cold or heat, and their bodies are capable of change the internal temperature much more quickly.
